At CAMP ANUBHAV, kids see, hear, taste, touch and smell what the natural world is like. For five to eight days, 9 to 17 year olds juggle in the mountains, splash in the wide rivers and trek in the deep jungles. It combines a selection of thrilling activities, cultural training, disaster management skills, village studies and other skill development programs with a liberal dose of adventure and dollops of passion. Along with acquiring life skills, kids have fun, away from computers, cell phones and all that comfort. They discover how to be independent and self-reliant after ‘roughing it up’ in our camp activities.

Rocksport choses the location of base camps with a lot of thought and deliberation. The idea is to provide high- paced adventure as well as wealth of natural beauty. Situated in the wilderness, Camp Mashobra and Camp Corbett are our classrooms in nature. Near enough to a civilization to counter for any emergency, yet far away to be in the heart of the wild.

Dizzying at a height of 7000ft, 15kms from Shimla, Camp Mashobra is a superb setting amongst the wooded hills, offering panoramic views of the Himalayan snow peaks. Twenty beautiful tents overlook a good-size playing field for games. The toilets are western with wash facilities, kept immaculately clean. The dining area serves hygienic and delicious Himachali cuisine. It’s a great base for mountain trekking. Walk-off the site in any direction and it won't be long before a mountain comes under foot.

Fill up your lungs with fresh air. Know the birds and the bees. Run around the endless trees. Drink water from the gurgling stream. Reach for the sun, moon and the stars. Watch the mountain goats silently afar. Make a real fire and get cozy. Carry back home the mysteries of nature.

Set in India’s first and finest national park, Camp Corbett is notable for rich and varied wildlife, birdlife, scenic charm and magnificent views. Fifteen Meru tents for that perfect jungle experience awaits here. Done up after the colonial hunting tents of the African Meru tribes, each tent is thatched and well insu lated, has European style bathrooms, western closets and open sit outs. Colourful linen, warm durries make the interiors pleasant and elegant.

We have some exciting activities planned for teachers too – a mix of relaxation and thrilling, entertaining and cathartic. Since, many of the activities require cooperating with a small group or a partner, teachers rediscover the joys of doing things together, by bonding with their fellow colleagues even more. By doing activities on their own, they feel a boost of their self-worth, self-confidence and optimism. Ultimately, it is the relationship one forms rather than task completion or accomplishments.

Teachers have a responsibility to themselves, their students and to society. So, teaching must be effective if children are to acquire the skills to lead a physically active lifestyle. The goal of our program is to help teachers grow personally so that their instructional techniques can have tangible impacts on a student’s learning.

Artificial Climbing Wall is an artificially constructed climbing structure with grips for hand and feet. It provides a stable and safe atmosphere for climbing suited for climbers of all ages and all levels. It comes complete with overhangs, hand or footholds as well as bolts that you can hook onto with your carabiners. The grips are colour coded or numbered to give different routes up the wall.
